Iridessa for Hope on Cardboard

The 'Iridessa for Hope'is painted onto cardboard, this was something I do to test pieces I am painting before I paint the actual piece, I used to throw them away when I first started painting but I have come to love pieces like this more and more. We all seek hope and this piece is about sharing and caring as Iridessa (like the rainbow) sits infront of 'Hope' that she has just painted, with her spray paint can of peace behind her.

I have always been drawn to graffiti wording and lettering, the way they flow and connect, the colours you can use to change a simple word into something beautiful. The cardboard was given a defused background which also allows the vibrant colours in the graffiti Hope lettering to stand out. The colour and artwork really pop on this one off piece of art and will super cool in any room in a frame.
