The Graffiti Pop Art Dawg

The 'Graffiti Pop Art Dawg is painted on a a Magis Puppy from the Me To Collection and as you can see was orange i colour originally. This is the second of these dogs I painted, the first being the biggest of the Me To Collection and this is the second smallest. It is an extremely difficult object to paint with the curves and ensuring the artwork flows and feels like it was always painted this way.

Using the orange base the graffiti was then added meticulously over time so that the pant did not build up and making it feel like the graffiti walls you see on the streets which gives it lots of colour and a fabulous pop art look. It was then lacquered with a clear coat varnish several times to retain the colour and vibrancy. The colour and artwork really pop on this one off piece of art and will super cool in any room.
