Power of Flowers Sunflower on Round Canvas

The 'Power of Flowers' has been created on a round canvas. This is sunflower painted from the original larger artwork.

The idea behind this painting was how we are drawn to beautiful flowers that emit their colours and show their power of nature once in full bloom. The girl stood poised to take a photo with her old skool camera brings us back to taking simple images of flowers before the advent of the smart phone. So the background was also created with this in mind, almost that the black and white grainy images that we would get back from the photoshop. The beautiful multicoloured sunflower stands tall growing out of the Peace Paint pot, giving the girl the opportunity to get that all important photo and capture her day in that shot.

I recently created a similar piece and installed onto a derelict building to add colour and vibrancy to the decaying building too.
